WSM "flaking"

Postby SmokeNVoodoo » Sun Feb 07, 2010 5:25 pm

Hey everyone!

I've done a whack of smoking on my WSM but something just happened recently.

flakes are falling from the dome of the WSM when cooking. I was sure it was "cured" quite well and frankly, I was a bit stunned when it happened.

Any suggestions or tips?

Yes that happens periodically, it's just the built up carbon / smoke / grease etc etc... Just brush if off with a wire scraper or brush do it doesn't land on your food. Nothing to worry about! b2

Thanks much. I gave it a good wipe and that helped.

Every cook is a learning journey. I get to eat what I practice, which is cool.
