Brisket - Where to buy in Burlington/Hamilton?

Just finished my first, official, brisket smoke but want to know a more local source to buy brisket. I bought mine at Strode's in Brantford, as a friend suggested, but want to find a source much closer to home.

I purchase mine by the case from my local grocery, I'm sure someone from down there will chime in and help you out.

Hi
I have bought from Strodes but now I just go to Highland Country Market (Highland Rd, east of #20 Hwy). You do have to go in 'the back' to where they hold the large cuts of meat, like pork shoulders, etc. I find their prices are good.
Also, I have seen briskets at Lococo's on Barton St E a few times so you could ask there also, though I have found that prices for brisket are best at Highland.

Awesome! Thanks for this.

I've bought a brisket at Lococo's in the past and burnt it to a crisp to the point where it looked like charcoal. So depressing... Anyhow, I didn't buy from there again as they seem to trim the fat cap off completely for some reason.

I also bought my recent brisket for $4.99/lb at Strode's. Cost me about $40 for the whole thing. I just called Highland and they're selling for $2.69/lb! Looks like I'll be doing another brisket very soon!

Thanks again!

I get mine from just across the river in Buffalo. Restaurant Depot. Angus choice packers for about 2.60lb. Sometime there on sale. Not really that far for you to go, you might want to try it out.

I also shop at RD, but you do require a business license to get a membership there or if you hace a KCBS membership, you could get a day pass.

Thanks everyone for your input. I actually found a place near my wife's work in Etobicoke that sells whole brisket for $2.99/LB. Not too bad. It's called European Meats near Dundas and Kipling.
